GOOD TO KNOW

Insurance & cost

Clear answers before you decide.

More about cost & insurance ↗︎
Do you take my insurance?

Many of our patients have PPO plans from Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, Cigna or Guardian, to name a few. Don't see your PPO plan listed? There's a good chance we're in-network with it too. Call our office so we can confirm your specific plan and explain your benefits before treatment.

What if I have an HMO plan?

We don't accept HMO plans, but we can help you compare fees. If you already have an HMO treatment plan, bring it in and ask our office about a fee comparison.

Can you check my benefits before my visit?

Yes. Text photos of your insurance card to the office where you plan to receive care. Our team checks your eligibility, available benefits and whether your plan applies at that office. An estimate of benefits is not a guarantee of payment.

How much will my treatment cost?

Fair, competitive pricing - and you'll see your exact fee in writing before anything starts. No surprises, ever.

Will I get a written treatment plan?

Yes. Before treatment starts, we'll explain the recommended care and give you a written, itemized estimate showing the treatment fees, estimated insurance contribution and your estimated share. Ask questions before deciding how to move forward.

How do you estimate insurance coverage for major treatment?

For major procedures, we can submit the proposed treatment plan to your insurer for review before treatment begins. This may be called pre-authorization or predetermination, depending on your plan. The response helps us give you a more accurate estimate, but it is not a guarantee of payment.

What if I don't have insurance?

You're welcome to receive care as a self-pay patient at either office. We'll explain the plan before treatment starts. CareCredit financing is available; ask our team about options and review the provider's terms and approval requirements.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept all major credit cards and offer CareCredit financing. Contact our office to discuss available options and review the terms before choosing.

Can I get a second opinion or compare an estimate?

There is no fee for a second opinion. We also offer price matching. Bring your treatment plan or estimate from another office so we can review it and discuss the details.

Which consultations are free?

Implant and veneer consultations are free, as is your Invisalign or clear-aligner consultation. The aligner consultation includes an evaluation, a scan and a preview of your projected smile. A preview helps explain the plan; it is not a guarantee of a particular result.

GOOD TO KNOW

First visit

A little less unfamiliar.

Your first-visit guide ↗︎
What happens at my first visit?

We start by listening to what brings you in, your questions and anything that makes dental visits difficult. Your visit includes an exam and the X-rays needed to understand your oral health. We'll show you what we find, explain the options in plain language and discuss next steps.

What should I bring?

Bring your insurance card, if you have one, and a list of your current medications. You can also text a photo of your insurance card to the office before your visit.

How do I complete my new-patient forms?

We'll send detailed dental history and medical history forms online, by text or email, whichever you prefer. Take time to complete them before your visit. Your concerns, symptoms and history help your dentist understand more than just the reason you booked.

Will I have a cleaning at my first visit?

We understand you may hope to have a cleaning at your first visit. Your exam comes first so we can understand your needs. A cleaning may be considered only if no other problems are found. We'll explain the findings and next steps with you.

How much time should I set aside?

A first visit is longer than a regular check-up because we take time to listen, take X-rays and do a careful exam. Ask the office how much time to set aside when you book.

I haven't seen a dentist in years. Am I welcome?

You're welcome here, whether you're keeping up with regular visits or coming back after time away. Tell us what has been difficult and what you hope to work on. We'll start with where you are now and explain the next steps without pressure.

Is there parking or an elevator?

There is plenty of parking at both offices. The Temecula office is in Suite 205 and has an elevator. See our first-visit guide for addresses and directions.

GOOD TO KNOW

Booking

Choose your office. We will take it from there.

Choose your office ↗︎
How do I book a visit?

Choose Temecula or Murrieta and use that office's Book online button, or contact the office directly. Both offices use our own Oryx online scheduler. Online bookings are requests, not confirmed appointments. Our office will confirm or give you a call.

Which office should I choose?

Choose the location that works best for you. Temecula and Murrieta have separate phone lines and online schedulers, so contact the office where you'd like to receive care.

What are your office hours?

Temecula: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am to 5pm; Wednesday, 9am to 1pm. Murrieta: Monday through Thursday, 9am to 6pm; Saturday by appointment only. Contact your office to confirm your visit.

How can I contact each office?

Call or text Temecula at (951) 506-6872 or Murrieta at (951) 677-9104. For an urgent concern, call rather than waiting for an online booking request to be confirmed.

GOOD TO KNOW

Emergencies

When something cannot wait, call us first.

Emergency care & what to do now ↗︎
Can you see me for an emergency today?

Same-day emergency appointments are always available at both offices. Call as early as you can and tell our team what's happening, including pain, swelling, injury or a broken tooth. If you haven't visited us before, call anyway so we can help arrange care.

What if it happens after hours or on the weekend?

Text Dr. Pore at (951) 595-7284 with your name and what's going on. If he can't reply right away, he will get back to you as soon as he can. If you have a medical emergency, do not wait for a reply: call 911 or go to the emergency room.

What counts as an urgent dental concern?

Call right away for a severe toothache, a knocked-out tooth, a broken or cracked tooth, swelling in your gum, jaw or face, or a lost crown or filling that hurts. A small painless chip or mild sensitivity may be less urgent, but contact us so we can help you decide what to do next.

When should I go to the emergency room?

Go to the emergency room for bleeding that will not stop with firm pressure, swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, or a serious injury to your face or jaw. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. Contact our office once you are safe for follow-up dental care.

What if a crown or filling comes out?

Call our office, especially if the tooth hurts. Keep a lost crown safe and bring it to your visit; it may be possible to re-cement it. Our emergency guide explains what to do while you arrange care.

What should I do after a tooth injury or for a toothache?

Call our office promptly and tell us what happened. A knocked-out tooth needs immediate attention. Our emergency guide has steps for tooth injuries and toothaches, but your own situation may need different care. For severe bleeding, breathing or swallowing problems, or serious facial injury, seek emergency medical care first.

GOOD TO KNOW

Kids & family

Care that gets to know you.

Plan your first visit ↗︎
Do you welcome families?

Yes. We are a family practice. Tell the office who is coming when you book, and ask about arranging visits together if that makes life easier.

Can I book a visit for my child?

Contact your preferred office and tell us your child's age, what brings them in and anything that may make the visit difficult. We'll help plan the visit and discuss the next steps. If their needs are beyond our scope, we'll explain why a specialist is the right choice.

What if I or my child feel nervous?

It's understandable to feel nervous. Let us know when you book and again when you arrive. We'll listen, explain what we see and talk through the next step before you decide. You can ask questions and tell us what helps you feel more at ease. We don't promise pain-free treatment.

General

The people, the care and what comes next.

Care at home after treatment ↗︎
Will I see the same dentist each visit?

Yes. Pore Dental is independent and doctor-owned, not a corporate dental chain. You see the same provider visit after visit, so your care can build on a familiar relationship.

What languages does your team speak?

Our team speaks English, Spanish, Hindi and Arabic at both offices. Tell us your preferred language when you contact the office.

What care do you offer?

We provide exams, cleanings, preventive care, fillings and crowns, along with cosmetic options such as Lumineers and Snap-On Smile. We also offer Invisalign and other clear-aligner systems, and plan implant restorations with oral surgeons. If your case needs care beyond our scope, we'll explain the referral to a specialist.

Does Dr. Pore place dental implants?

Dr. Pore does not place implants. An oral surgeon handles the surgical placement. At Pore Dental, we handle your consultation, treatment plan and final restoration, with support along the way. Start with a free implant consultation to discuss your options.

What is full-mouth restoration or All-on-X?

All-on-X, also called All-on-4 or All-on-6, replaces an arch of failing teeth or dentures with teeth supported by implants. Your dentist, oral surgeons and laboratory plan the care together. Oral surgeons place the implants; Pore Dental plans the work and makes and fits your final teeth. Your individual plan sets the steps and timeline.

Who provides Invisalign and clear-aligner treatment?

Dr. Pore and Dr. Sandhu both provide aligner treatment and are certified Invisalign providers. Your consultation is free, with an evaluation, scan and projected-smile preview. Refinements and retainers are included with treatment. If a case is complicated and beyond our scope, we'll refer you to a specialist.

Can I remove my aligners for meals?

Yes. Clear aligners are removable for meals and for brushing and flossing. They still need to be worn consistently according to your treating clinician's instructions. Your doctor will explain your plan, progress checks and retainers.

Where can I find instructions after treatment?

Our aftercare hub has instructions for care at home after fillings, crowns, extractions and more. Follow the instructions given for your own treatment, and contact the office where you were seen if something worries you.
